Parks & Recreation


West Branch Parks and Recreation Department works to improve the quality of West Branch residents’ lives through parks, trails, and activities.  Residents can enjoy the 3.5 mile Herbert Hoover Trail, 5 parks (Lions Field, Heritage Square, Wapsi Creek, Beranek, and Cubby Park), and other recreation activities such as;  youth soccer, t-ball, football, basketball, volleyball and more!

Activities

Zoom Christmas Tree Painting-November 18, 2020 at 6pm

Enjoy making a lighted Christmas tree from your home. All participants can choose up to 4 colors per tree.  All supplies including lights are included.  There are 4 spaces available at Town Hall that can not access Zoom at home.

Gnome for the Holidays-December 11th at 6pm

Enjoy making a Holiday Gnome tree from your home.  All supplies  are included.  Gnomes will take about 30 minutes to complete.

  • Register here and WBPR will pick up and deliver your kit to either your home or Town Hall for you to pick up.
  • $15 per Gnome
  • Zoom link will be provided after registration.

Holiday Decorating Contest

  • Two categories: Best Individual House and Best Block in West Branch.
  • Winners will be announced December 11th.
  • Prizes will be awarded.
  • Must enter the contest no later than December 6th at 10pm.
  • Paper registration forms available at West Branch City Office or West Branch Parks and Recreation
