The Public Works Department is located on Cookson Drive. The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the City’s infrastructure.

Public Works Department tasks:

  • Mowing and weeding of all city property
  • Snow removal on city streets and city property
  • Maintenance of city buildings
  • Monthly water meter reading
  • Water testing & sewer monitoring
  • Fire hydrant flushing
  • Cemetery maintenance – Cemetery clean-up April 1st-15th and October 1st-15th
  • Tree trimming & maintenance of city owned trees
  • Fall leaf collection
  • Christmas tree pick up
  • Residential curbside yard waste pick-up (seasonal)
  • Sidewalk inspections for repair and snow removal (property owner responsibility)
  • Replacement of street signs
