Sign Up Now for Emergency Alerts
Residents of West Branch can now sign up to receive emergency notifications from the city of West Branch and the national weather service. Please CLICK HERE to sign up. The registration form is also available through the city website under Residents —-> Emergency Notifications or by direct link at https://westbranchiowa.org/residents/wens. The city office has used the service already to notify those residents affected by boil orders as well as a number of weather notifications for thunderstorm warnings, tornado watches, and tornado warnings. Please note that who is sent a notification is determined by geolocation and exact NOAA warning areas. As such, while television and radio may broadcast that Cedar County is under a watch or warning, a notification will not be sent out if the address of the account is not physically located within the actual NOAA area.
