Matt Muckler serves as the city administrator for the City of West Branch.  He was previously the assistant to the town manager for Buckeye, AZ and the council administrator for Vigo County, IN.  Matt also previously served as the legislative director for a statewide non-profit organization in Washington State and as a state representative in the Missouri Legislature.

Matt received his bachelors degree in business administration from Saint Louis University and his masters degree in public administration from Indiana State University.  Prior to his work in the public sector, Matt was the assistant general manager for River City Nutrition, Inc. and served as a russian linguist in the U.S. Army.

Matt is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the Iowa City/County Management Association, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and the Iowa Municipal Finance Officers Association.  He currently is a participant in the ICMA Emerging Leaders Development Program and a member of the East Central Intergovernmental Association Council.

Matt resides in West Branch with his wife Debbie and their five children.
